Walk Away: Debut Feature Film by Kurush Mistry

I encourage all of you to support Kurush Mistry’s debut feature film, Walkaway (English, 97 mins) , soon to be released in theatres across the U.S. – he is the executive producer of the film.  

If you’ve ever wondered what Sex and the City would be like with Indian Men, this one is for you! A light-comedy drama, this film deals with interesting issues like now-veiled urban dowry, and the challenges of cross-cultural couples, set in New York’s cosmopolitan environment. It promises snippets of life we can all identify with. Plus, some pretty amazing songs as background tracks!

Zoroastrians Keep The Faith: Different Drummers

Rohinton Rivetna, Tenaz Jamsetjee and Shazad Mehta of Chicago were recently interview on TV  for the program Different Drummers. This was featured on CBS TV a couple of weeks ago.

Rohinton Rivetna is one of the early founders of FEZANA, the parent association of ZAGNY. He served as its President and is still an active member in the organisation.

Udvada's High Priest to visit Darbe Mehr

Dasturji Khushru Kaikobad Dastur, our High Priest of Udvada Atashbehram, will be performing a Jashan at 11 AM on Sat. May 15, 2010 and addressing the Zarathushti community at 12 noon at the Pomona Darbe Mehr. It is a luncheon get together hosted by ZAGNY and sponsored by Mr. Erach Munshi. Our esteemed Dasturji will present the History of Iranshah, how our Holy Fire in Udvada, India was consecrated and explain the significance of our basic daily prayers. Questions and Answers will follow his talk.
