NOWRUZ REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED

Dear members,

Registration for our Nowruz function is now CLOSED. Owing to an extremely high number of registrants people who show up at the door will unfortunately be turned away since we have reached the hall capacity as per fire code.

Any registrations received on or after March 19 will also be returned.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Nowruz 2009 Celebration

This year we look forward to celebrating Nowruz co-jointly with IZA at the Greek Church in Tenafly, NJ and look forward to a very successful event.

However, because we are not holding the function with all of our own Darbe Mehr items, we need some community assistance, and are looking for volunteers to work with a lead board member to help out with setup and at the event in the following areas.  If you are interested, please email Ferzin Patel at ferzin@ZAGNY.org with the areas you are interested in helping with.

Setup before the function will require people to be at the church by 4:00 p.m. (if you volunteer for this, please make sure you will be on time)

1.  Setting up tables with table clothes and center pieces.
2.  Setting up the bar
3.  Working an hour at the bar
4.  Decorations
5.  Helping at the registration desk
6.  Bringing soda bottles from the DM to the hall (this can be taken at the next religious class day March 1st  and brought the day of the function).

We would like to thank all those who are volunteering and giving back to their community.  You will be contacted by email as to what function you will be helping with and the board members name who will assist.

It makes it all worthwhile and fun for everyone.
