2007-2008 ZAGNY Religious Class Schedule

Hello All,

Hope you all had a great summer. Believe it or not it is “back to ZAGNY Class-&-lunch ” already, so welcome to a new ZAGNY Religious class year.

Looking back at 2006-07 we had an exciting year with more members coming in every month and staying back for lunch. With the enthusiasm of all the members for the first time we had a Chat party last year, which proved to be a great success. Many members have expressed their desire to have another one this year, and probably some other theme dinners … like Indo Chinese/ South Indian, or any other food let me know (guys keep in mind we have limited income). I will let you know in advance which month will be scheduled for theme lunches.

To start with the Lunch money remains the same i.e. $3.50 (and $5.00 for walk ins).
Please note, in the past we charged the additional  .50 cents to cover the cost of the teachers and other miscellaneous expenses like dessert, pickles, salad, yogurt or any other additional item. Since we have a surplus of $464.00… and some change, we have decided to use this money towards the miscellaneous expense that will incur during the next school year and keep the current ZAGNY lunch charges the same. Open Letter of Thanks

Dear All,
We take this opportunity to thank all the lovely kind hearted people at ZAGNY  for having sent a most generous amount towards the medical needs of little Khushru Mehta.

The Zoroastrian Community in New Zealand and the International  Zoroastrian Community came together as one, to support the Mehta family of Auckland in their uphill struggle to get medical treatment for the little son Khushru who suffers from a number of serious medical issues.

Today this little boy with the blessings of all his well wishers, is making slow but steady progress towards some semblance of a normal life. Continue Reading

Attendees have the option to stay with host families (contact: Zenia Mehta (zeniamehta@gmail.com)) or at nearby hotels at modest rates.

The Next Generation Now conference takes place October 12-14 and is hosted by the Zoroastrian Association of Chicago in conjunction with ZYNA, the Zoroastrian Youth of North America, FEZANA’s youth arm. The conference is not a congress, and will feature exciting panel presentations, town-hall style Q&A, small group problem-solving and tons of networking among our best and brightest. Because this conference will address inter-generational issues, we are inviting all interested individuals in their 20s, 30s, 40s and 50s, as well as some community elders.

Our North American Zoroastrian communities face a myriad of challenges as we press on in the North American diaspora. It is our sincere hope that each community is represented at the conference by a new generation of leadership that is ready and capable of resolving local as well as wider issues and challenges.

Your time and continued support are much appreciated,
