Absentee ballots must be received no later than May 01, 2008 to be considered valid.

Notes:

  • The voting for the Election of Trustees for the Darbe Mehr Zoroastrian Temple will be held on Sunday, May 4, 2008 at 11:30 am at the Arbab Rustam Guiv Darbe Mehr located at 106 Pomona Road in Suffern, NY.• The name and address of all voting members must show on the envelope to constitute a valid vote. This is necessary to determine which individuals have voted by mail.
  • The envelope should be marked “DMZT BALLOT” at the lower left corner of the envelope in order to identify it as “an envelope to be opened by the Election Committee on the day of the election”.
  • One ballot sheet must be used per voting member. The second ballot sheet is for the convenience of families that have more than one voting member. Additional ballot sheets may be generated by duplication when required. Please cut along the dotted line for separating the two ballots.
  • For a statement of candidates running for election to a 3-year term on the Board of Trustees, please refer to the enclosed bio-data sheet.
  • Please be sure to include the names of all voting members on the mailing envelope.

Bio-Data:

  • Mr. Fuad Adib
    Fuad Adib was born in 1955 in Iran. He has earned a B.S. in Civil Engineering in 1978 and a Ph. D. in the same field in 2000. He has worked as a civil engineer in Iran and the United States and is a Professional Engineer in State of New York. He is the founder and president of a consulting engineering company providing services to contractors working with the city and state of New York as well as federal government. He has been teaching Persian to adults at Dar-e Mehr since 2002 and has served as a member of the DMZT Board of Trustees in the 2005-2008 term.
  • Mrs. Mehru L. Cama
    Mehru has been involved with the Zoroastrian community in the New York area for almost 35 years.For the past 3 years, Mehru has been a Trustee of the Darbe Mehr Zoroastrian Temple and prior to that was an active volunteer member with DMZT for five years. Some of the activities and projects Mehru has been involved in are fixing up of the prayer room, lighting and painting of the main hall and the serving room, An important contribution as a volunteer has been, saving the community over $7,000 annually by securing revised insurance policies for DMZT and ZAGNY with a new insurance company. Recently by appealing to the Town of Ramapo she has got a reduction in the Z-House taxes. In addition, Mehru has been involved in all aspects of the improvement of the Darbe Mehr listed in the Secretary’s report.Besides her contributions to the Zoroastrian community, Mehru volunteers on several programs in her local community dealing with children and women in crisis. Mehru has an MBA from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
